The module is designed to work in service mode with the ECU ME9/MED9/EDC16. It supports reading and writing the built-in flash memory of the MPC556/MPC562/MPC564 microcontrollers, external flash memory and EEPROM, as well as checking and correcting CS and RSA signatures (except for the MED9 VAG ECU).
The operation requires a direct connection to the ECU connector and a Scanmatik 2/Pro adapter. Or "Powerbox for PCMflash" plus one of the tested J2534 adapters.*

1) Scanmatik 2 (with a modified k-line) or Scanmatik 2 PRO (make sure that the latest version of the drivers is installed), with a Boot / Bench cable, etc. - similar to the 71st module.
2) Almost any j2534 adapter with normal k-line support in the presence of "Powerbox for PCMflash" (either "new" or "modified" for the 71st package). In this case, the GPT signals are taken from the Powerbox. The power supply is controlled automatically (the switch is in the AUTO position), and the BOOT must be set to the MANUAL position. It is important. If the adapter is equipped with boot pins (OP2, Chipsoft Lite/Mid/Pro, Scanmatik 2/Pro), then you can also set the AUTO position, but it is more convenient not to think about it. Checked all of the above list, plus Dialink, Mongoose (different types).
